Couldn't do this job on the best day of my life..

In years gone by, yes, but not today. The older you get the more mortal you feel.

The highest I ever worked in the scaffolding biz was when I was 18 years old at 110 meters on this construction, Hoogovens 7, at the steel works. We had to build scaffolding around the crane you can see right at the top and there was nothing to fasten our safety lines to.
Was high enough for me I can tell you .... :nailbiting:

My wife looked at this and all she kept saying was: "Oh my God, Oh my God" over and over again............Frankie
There's clips on YouTube of Fred climbing and and attaching the next ladder to the chimney wall as he goes! :arghh:

Fred was a British icon Frankie who sadly died from cancer a little while ago. He was also a self taught engineer and had his own tv show which amongst other things covered the building of an old steam traction engine.

He was also incredibly strong for his stature. There are youtube videos of him handling scaffold boards with one hand while working hundreds of feet in the air.
