Convertible top problem

I've replaced the fuse, which did not appear blown, but the convertible top does not go up. I don't hear a motor trying either. I did try to open the top when it was locked in back accidentally once. The fuse looks like it's fuse number 1 in the fuse box. Any thoughts? TIA

I don't know what you mean? Does the brake have to be depressed for the top to operate? Or hand brake?

Yes, you need to press the brake pedal
