Well I had lost a little weight and my ring became a little loose and slip off into the depths of the engine bay while I was working around the fuse box. My wife said if she finds it on one of the pipes in there your both out.

I do like your 'settling down' car thinking @Lee, I imagine it went like this:
'mmmmm...so I'm going to propose, kids often tend to follow that event so clearly the M is no good, better get prepared with a sensible family car....after 2mins looking at Golfs on Autotrader...lets check Pistonheads classifieds....TVR...mmmm got support the local economy and all that...now which one had back seats and a boot again. Ahh the Cerbera, it even has extra long doors to aid ingress....perfect...get it bought!
