Have you checked what your default home page is in Internet Options ?

Yeah Bill...I even set it to blank..which is what it loads and then when I try to go to a site it just goes to Vodafone...every time..!!

have you checked the lan settings to make sure it is not set to connect to a proxy ?

got it...its bloody vodafone....one quick call to them and it was sorted.
my daata plan had "fallen off".....so my browser was directing me their......bless it...it was trying to help me out.

I presume this is a Vodafone broadband. Nice of them to hijack your life without telling you why. Maybe they could have phoned you instead. Its rumoured they are a mobile phone company after all.

Yes right they could have told me that my mobile data had stopped because of a glitch in there system
