Thank you - would have been much better with the fire lit. Too much like hard work and too little time to move everything though, and besides, hardly the weather recently needing an open fire.

I never got around to posting pics of the completed house dressing that Shirl did. So here it is,

Tony.

ps. Thank the Lord for LED's:thumbsup:

Here's what we've come up with this year instead of one large tree we went with four different sizes. We bought five new strings of battery powered lights for something a bit different. A bare copper wire with LED lights. Well they aren't lit in the pics because they died after two days and it takes fifteen AA batteries. Will get relit Christmas Eve! Joan's nutcracker collection from Gremay stands on the mantle and in front of the trees is a toy train Her Mom made years ago. And the stockings were hung with the greatest of care awaiting the jolly fat man to arrive. JIM IMG_2803.webp

I can't afford to come over there Jim, but I wish you and all yours a merry Christmas mate.=))

Tony.

IMG_2808.webp IMG_2775.webp Thanks Tony and right back at you, Shirl and the rest of the family!! Don't remember if you noted the new grandson born Dec 9. So here's Matias!! JIM

Looks like he's shaping up to be a boxer going on the second picture Jim. A bony lad for sure, congratulations to parents and grandparents alike !:)

Tony.

I guess I'm lucky Jim in that my kids and grandchildren live within a few miles, all except one.

Tony.

Yes you are Tony. But I still have the one that lives with us and two that are only three drives away. Plus Damon is dead set on his boys in Chile knowing us here in Canada so facetimes us a couple of times a week and sends pics nearly everyday!! Grandparenting is great!! JIM
