I want to repaint the console as it’s showing signs of wear around switches - anyone know if this “Matt” finish is original ?
If it is, is paint available or anyone found a suitable alternative ?

Have you tried checking your vin to see what the build was? https://www.mdecoder.com/ It might list the colour combinations in your car build. As for which type of paint to use maybe @Sean d could advise.
