Guys can you point me in the general direction. Now I've had this problem since I got the car in Sept but it hasn't concerned me and now starting to get all the jobs done before the better weather. When the car starts from cold it starts no problem runs approx 2mns then drops almost to stall then lifts again it will do this several times till cold start ends then runs sweet all day. Sometimes it will stall but will start straight away no problem. Seems to be a cold start/run problem. So what am I looking for is it a vacuum hose or a control relay/solenoid or something dirty/sticky. I bow to your knowledge.

Is the throttle body clean? they can get gummed up and it can cause issues.
Sounds as though when the throttle is shutting its starving of air and stalling it may just want a good clean up with carb cleaner.

Cam sensors!

Clean the throttle body and the butterfly also give the Idle control valve a washout with some carb cleaner, dry it out before refitting it.
Check all air hoses for splits and leaks.
Can you check to see if any codes are present with a code reader?

Thanks guys I will check out all the possibilities and report back.

Same problem with my 2.8.. start it from cold and leave it running in drive and after a couple of minutes it almost stalls once or twice and then does..

However, start it from cold and just drive no issues!!

Been like this for years but never managed to fathom it out?
