Since you have a laptop already, try BMW Scanner 1.4, that will read all the modules on your car and clear codes, its less clunky than INPA, tend to use it on my Z3 and Z4 more than INPA as its so easy to use.

Usual Chinese suppliers are cheapest, UK suppliers usually more expensive. It dosn't list all BMW models but it works on Z3's and Z4's.

Reads my ABS module on the 2003 2.5 Z4, must check if it can do my 1999 1.9 Z3, can't remember if it did it on that.

We know earlier facelift cars struggle to have ABS module read by many readers. Which is why the Foxwell is often mentioned as it's the only financially tenable tool that can.

But Nov 98 is the latest I've heard of this issue. My brother has a Nov 98 build car and a C110 works fine on it. Not sure I've ever tried INPA on it and certainly won't have tried BMW Scanner. But if a C110 works on it I'd expect the other readers/tools to be okay.

@Bampz are you plugging in under bonnet or under dash?

Hi Rob , using under bonnet round plug , have tried c110 as well, both readers will only read about 5 modules ,
Could always be an issue with my car .

My c110 reader shows an ABS pump code but wont delete it, I am sure its a historic code and everything works fine with no warning light. My car is a 99 2.8
