Coco Cat Catches Red Kite

Well in his little cat mind, last night he 'caught' several mice, absolutely loving Winterwatch on BBC2 this week.

My daughters cat is like that, as soon as wildlife come on the TV she is there.

They love it don't they! ...lol!...he fancied his chances with a magnificent golden eagle tonight as well though in real life with a two meter wingspan I think he'd run away!

Don't you believe the cat will run. In my village in early sixties there was this huge black Labrador that would chase and and try to kill cats. One day he met his match as this older tabby who was king of his road came out his front gate and the lab came full pelt at him, next thing we know the cat stands his ground and one swipe of his right pour saw huge lab whimpering off home, tabby turns and walked calmly back up his garden path. Later we heard the vet had to give Labrador 8 stitches to sew his nose back together.

Can totally believe that, I grew up on a farm with a loveable large black cat called Jake who only had about half an ear left and a battle scarred face, in terms of flight or fight he did not hesitate for a second when any other animal strayed onto 'his' farm. Many years later into his life he alas picked a fight with a Volvo estate while crossing the road unfortunately he lost but I understand from eyewitness reports it was a close thing. I still remember him with great affection all these years later, funny how we all remember our childhood pets.
