C'mon zed drivers,honest answers now

Never gave up admiring the Zed! In the winter, from time to time I get in the garage, just to take a look...never let anybody parking my Zed, despite the rules in some valet parking...
All normal here on this group, on Zorg, that's why we are here!
Still believe that we should be excepted from taxes or have a cut of it, just because we bring esthetical improvement to road life...

Mine has replaced a Mercedes E class with every toy that never put a foot wrong but did nothing for me except reliability.
I like to tinker and with that you just locked it and walked away.

With the Zed it seems to always want something doing to it but those curves, Wow, You can't help yourself but look back at her.
Such a sexy looking automobile, especially for what we are paying for them at the moment.

I have bought another Mercedes, C class this time @ 15k but apart from driving it home from the dealer it has sat on the drive whilst the Zed is in the garage all nice and snug and if I go out I grab the keys to my girl..

Had a Merc C-Klasse W203 Avantgarde with all the bells and whistles on it, could not be bothered to work out what most of them did.
Bored the hell out of me, literally swapped it for the Z, keys and paper work, that was it.

Probably the best move you made. Don't get me wrong the Mercs are fabulous cars but just do a job very well. No excitement no looking back at it, just a dull everyday car that's pretty much the same as any other car.
But with the Zed it's more of a passion, What can I do to her next or where shall we go today just for the fun of it..

Loving life with my Zed. So glad I chose a Z3 too instead of the Z4 I thought I wanted. Nothing against the Z4 I just love the curves of the 3

Loved the CE. My uncle had a 280 and I thought it just had style..

Would like one now but they are very good money for restoration and the costs involved in that are horrendous.

I suspect this question has been asked before, but as a fairly new zed owner (in my second year) I have to know if you have the same problem with your zed as I have.

After parking it I cannot walk away without looking back a least once.
Sometimes I don't even get a dozen steps away without a glance over my shoulder.
Is this natural?
For you drivers who have had their zed a lot longer, does the novelty wear off?

Am I in the minority, somehow I doubt it.
Even when I've come home from going out somewhere and park it in the driveway, I STILL look back while going into the house. I remember the day I bought my first Z in Maryland. I had to drive it back to Egg Harbor Township, about 150 miles. I needed gas, so about a mile away from where I bought it, I stopped at a gas station. I no sooner had pulled up to the pump and turned off the engine, than a girl who had pulled up on the other side of the pump island got out of her car and walked around to my car exclaiming: " Oh my God, that's the most beautiful car I've ever seen!" And yes, I've always had to look back at it again every time I park it and start to walk away. Frankie
