Ian (Aceman) suggested that a few of you may be up for a trackday after getting a taste at Silverstone recently.

I'm one of the organisers with Trackaction-Online and we will be running a club trackday at Oulton Park on Friday Nov 2nd.

This is a regular event we've been running for five years now and 90% of our entries come from our forum and other club groups so it’s always a friendly day out, free tuition will be available from our ARDS instructors and obviously we’ll be running open pitlane.

Cost is £130 per car/driver, bookings can be made at OUR SHOP, we can also do deals for groups of 5+

Please post up on here or message me with any questions or to sort group bookings.

Hope it’s still OK to put this up on here and that a few of you will be able to make it along.

Welcome Steve :)

I thought some people might be interested in doing an alternative track day and with this venue being relatively northern and such a great track to learn on it seemed a great opportunity for anyone considerring doing a track day.

So if anyone is interested please post your interest here.

Thanks.

Hi Steve,

I don't have a problem with you posting things like this :) We have quite a few track day enthusiasts here, and I'm rather tempted myself...

Any idea if they mind a bit of intentional oversteer on track :coolsteer)

Skilfully controlled tends to get appreciative nods from the marshals B-) ; badly controlled, close to other cars or too much repetitive tyre noise is a black flag #-o .

As it looks like there may be a few of you, when you book please put ZROAD in the comments box, if we get five using that code we'll draw one name out of a hat and refund their entry :ymparty:

I am very interested. I'll check my work diary tomorrow but can't see a problem with Nov 2nd.

For any one 'umming or 'arring whether they should go, Oulton park is perfect if you haven't done a track day before. I popped my track day cherry at Oulton park, the first lap was a bit scary but after that it was the most fun I have ever had in a car.......BY FAR!!!! :coolsteer)

There are a few basic things you should do to your car before the day but my main advice would be don't think about it too much, just go for it! :D

Sorry to the guys that have missed out this time, this event seems to sell out quicker each year! If any of you want to come down to say hello anyway I'm sure you will be able to blag some passenger rides x_x

We will be running again at Oulton at the start of March so I'll post that up on here as soon as we've set the details. It's been a really good response for my first post on here so lets aim to get a proper mob together for the next one!
