Jerez, that looks cold, we went below zero last night but warmed up to 2 degrees by midday. Warm enough for a quick wash to remove all the road salt

They quoted -4 here last night but I suspect it could have been lower. -2 tonight so the oil burner is inside ready for Monday morning shopping trip.

No snow? It’s covered here!!! ❄

The snow came as far north as around The Wash but it’s going to slide back south tonight. So we dodged the bullet this time.

It arrived at 6am here and has returned. It’s due to be minus tonight so it will be lethal on the roads in the morning.

They’re quoting minus 5 here so the oil burner is tucked up in the garage. Gritters been past quite early, shopping staff will need to be careful. There were 4 cars off the road about2 miles or so towards Lincoln on Friday morning.

-5C forecast here tonight too. On top of compacted snow. Snowing for a few hours but less than 2" on the ground. Expect there has been more a little further up into Leicestershire. Little traffic about atm so expect the main roads to be 'engaging' tomorrow, but then, not planning on being out myself any time soon. Instead - have moved my sons car out of harms way and will be getting the popcorn out to watch cars sliding down the road and into the kerb opposite. Happens every time it snows and then freezes.

It was -4 here , when I got up this morning, the cars were white 🤭
It did warm up a bit during the day but not much 🙂

It’s -1 here now and set to be -4 during the early hours of Monday. Just been a brief walk in the second lot of snow that’s fallen today. I love the sound that only happens when it’s snowed: that snowballed, muffled, insulated sound. And jumping through virgin snow! ❄️❄️❄️

Minus 4 here last night, no post,no deliveries so far. Main road just 100yrds from us is clear but even on level ground drivers are finding it hard to get there. We had two grit and salt containers up until about 7yrs ago but they’ve been taken away by authorities and not replaced, snow has compacted where the cars have tried to get out and last night has turned it to nearly 1/2inch of ice. Suns out so fingers crosse.

Shirl got to Gainsborough for shopping ok in her nice frost free car out of the garage! ;)

Around -4 too this morning, hard frost, some hadn't thawed from yesterday. Just back from a nice walk in the sun and frost which is still lingering.

Shopping first thing, and sobering experience - outside the supermarket wrapped up in a quilt someone sleeping. The quilt was white over with frost so obviously been there all night :( Some kind souls had left some food and drink for him, so decided a couple of warm pasties from the hot pie area were needed.
When we went out some young manager from the store was moving him on, not politely either. Understand they don't want to encourage homeless people there, but even so..... I did point out that we don't know his circumstances and that there are many different victims of the current situation we're all in.

The pump kept the pond clear of total icing last night, but icicles were building.
