Well it was a downpour here in Hemel Hempstead yesterday so just sat in hoping it would clear, nope!!!!!

Today is overcast and just the weather to polish/wax the cars, so out with the hose and this was the result but only after washing, they were both so dirty I really only had time to clean one properly and yes you guessed it. She went out to the shops with my daughter and said “do mine first and properly. So I spent 3+hrs on hers (the Z4Coupe) and only an hr on my Fiat 500c.
The things a bloke has to do just to keep the peace. Must admit her coupe does look nice.

Just increased the front height by 9mm which will compensate for the splitter and the little nuts underneath Lee.
The rear was only raised by 4mm to keep everything the same as you had it when you sold it to me. You can notice the front if you remember what gap above the tyres was like, haven’t been over any sleeping policeman yet but they’re not supposed to be over 100mm (4inchs) so believe it should just clear. If I do hit a kerb it will ruin the bumper cos it’s mounted(bolted) and double sided taped to the bottom of it. IMO the Z4 coupe Si front needed just that little something to get away from the plainness it has compared to the “M” and not wanting to mimic the “M” I thought this wasn’t quite OTT. It’s not an “M” and don’t want anyone thinking it is from the front but it handles so well I thought it deserves a light facelift, after all it really isn’t standard. The rear is a different kettle of fish and am still deciding what to do. Did you notice the carbon mirror covers,(from China) the finish on the edges was so bad I had to line the edge with a rubber strip, looks ok from the front but shows it’s a cover from the rear, I’m happy with it. Also bought blue wheel nuts and a blue inner wheel ring to go round the TSW emblem. Hard to see in the pics but again happy with it. Need to get the gaiters off the rims now as I’ve just about mastered the width and they look awful but have saved two rims so far.

Looking good @Rha, front splitter makes it a little more aggressive and ties in with the other mods. Shame it still has that tiny spoiler though

I spotted one the other day at Silverstone which would go great on yours

As Roy was allowed out in the Coop today he came up to the shed. After getting a job done we compared ride height on our cars. Front bumper height from the ground both are 4 1/2". Floor to wheel arch both are 64cm and my rear is 63.5cm and Roy's is 63. Floor to the bottom edge of my rubber splitter is 31/4".

Looks more like a platform Dave to see over the heads of tall people, could be usefull to clean first floor windows too.

Learnt a few tricks of the trade today at Tony's and he actually witnessed me getting my hands dirty even though he made me put gloves on for a while. No pics this time as my phone wasn't handy, sure Tony took a couple of me sitting in the coupe just to prove I actually did go.
Shame it took me 3hrs to get home in the traffic.
Allways look forward to visiting either of the sheds as the Z members are so obliging and knowledgeable.
Tony and Shirl bought me a brand new Z4 coupe in blue all the way from the USA.

Just made my day.

Looking good , Alan gave my Z a good clean on Sunday , it was really shiny, but it’s black , so it soon got dirty again
