Just got back from Lewes, after @Perfectjake ran his INPA system over my car.. Thanks Jacob for your time and advice.
Nothing came up on the scan which was good as my handheld scanner had been giving some odd fault codes recently.

Only thing to do now is try to straighten up the rear end of the exhaust. Should be fun

Nice run with the top down both ways, but with heater on full !!!

After a quick run in the sun to the doctors this morning for a flu jab.( Ouch, and the nurse didn’t give me a sweet!!!!),
Scanned again using my reader and NO FAULT CODES FOUND.

Giving it a decent run obviously sorted it out...(which is what Jacob said last night after he scanned it and found it clear of codes)

It must be the cars’ way of saying ‘ Stop leaving me in the garage all week’

Hi Back grovelling around the floor today to get some pictures of the exhaust.

This is the problem...

Too low and to one side.

Found a couple of things underneath that dont look right.

I think the exhast pipe is twisted at the clamp joint and also not fully iserted.

So I think the only option is to unbolt the spring bolts, ( may cut these off as I have new ones), undo all the support brackets that hold up the rubber hangers and take the rear exhaust, hangers and brackets all out in one piece.
This will make it easier to sort out on the bench.
I know the middle u clamp will undo, but the problem will be separating the two box sections.
Once this sorted, it will be a case of cleaning it all up and refitting it all hopefully in the right place......or mod it so it does fit !!!!

Its fairly accessible, so only need to jack up on passenger side and remove rear wheel to get to it all.

So I will get right on and get it done.......tomorrow !!!

Rear part of exhaust removed this morning.
Found that parts were bent , a washer had been welded to a lug so the rubber could not be taken off, wrong bolts

Frickin bodgers !!!!

All stripped down, but need to get a cutting wheel, paste, u clamp and some M8 locking nuts ( better not use nyloc on the exhaust!)

After a quick line up of the back box, it seems the problem is the middle section....I think.
Anyway off to the shops, and probably the pub , and get everything ready for reassembly tomorrow.

Bit of inspiration....
Ground off the weld to remove the washer, straightened the pin and threaded it. Now at least the rubber mount is detachable using a couple of 10mm nuts locked together

Got all the new bits, and cleaned all the existing bits.
Did a trial run of the assembly without the paste etc, just to see if it would line up ok.
Answer Yes, so why someone drilled extra holes in the bracket, bent one of the rubber mounts, and welded a washer I will never know.
I can only assume they tightened it as they went ( from the front) and bodged the rear box to make it sort of fit.

I will have to pull it all apart tomorrow but at least I know it should look like this when finished
