Some serious work gone into that, the end result looks great. Standard engine or an upgrade?

1275 with twin webers all round disc brakes servo gas struts the only thing I didn't change was the roof bmw min leather interior all flooring renewed had to drive a scaffold pole through her and brace the inside to stop it from collapsing took three year's
Mind you I have carried out a lot of work on my z3 ecu Rebuild all sensors renewed brakes totally renewed

I know the feeling, I restored a lot but finally got tired of rust and bought the Z. This was the last one, I replaced the floors, sills, boot floor, part of the roof and the bonnet. Then changed the engine for a 2.5, Iloved the car but it was a constant battle.

I know what you mean I was doing that much welding I had to put it under carport to do the welding
It's guys like us that give a new life to classics

A lot of that looks familiar, I did also change the door skins and chassis but Ilike to stay OEM with the engine. The engine came from a 2500S auto, it needed a bit of modding, I had to talk to the GT6 sump with a hammer to provide clearance for the crankshaft to turn but it all worked well. I did about 80,000 miles in it.

I have 40years of car restoration and had enough of welding I have been working on my z3 it runs like new I have enamelled the under body as you can see
