Just like to give a big thank you to Lee, Gaz, Trevor & Paul at the zedshed for all the work on my Z. It all happen so quickly. Everyone new what to do & how to achieve the right result. Will hope to visit again. Only took it for a short test drive with Lee as it was hammering down. But we both notice the changes in how the car sat and road. Will be trying it out next week in the dry:).
Wishing you all a great Christmas & New Year

I’ll be doing the final post when I get half hour. Here’s a sneak peak. View attachment 125232
Looks fantastic. Hopefully we won't be too far behind you with our own 'concours' rear end rebuild in the new year. Not been the easiest of times just recently for my family and any progress on Z3s has been minimal. I do have everything blasted and coated now and the smaller fixtures restored by hand. But hopefully things improving at home now so we hope to start re-assembly soon and make it fairly rapid.

Part 2: The Rebuild

Morning was a relaxed one as Saul had offered to make us breakfast at the shed, this is a first. We unloaded his car with his freshly blasted and painted parts.

All the bits laid out.

Saul also popped over a couple of evenings to rub back and re underseal the back of the car.

The first thing me n Gaz did during breakfast being made was fit braided lines to the rear (2 lines per side) and reassemble everything followed by torquing everything up.

With 3 of us and a jack we had the beam back in and torque within 20mins. She looked well at home back on the car.

It then took around an hour to re attach everything and bleed the brakes.

That was the rear end done we then moved to do a few jobs at the front.

First thing we did was fit the braided lines to the front then we fitted upgraded drop links.

Once we bled through some fresh fluid all was ready to get wheels down followed by a test drive!
It wouldn't be complete without a zedshed renovations sticker :D

That is a great write up and a Z to be very proud of. It looks too nice to drive almost :)

Well done Zedshed and Saul. Must come say hello one day (in the exZed).
