Christmas present question

To me, the female form is a thing of beauty without having to resort to 'Body Art' on any part of it! In fact the human body is the most incredible and wonderful thing in the known Universe!. So, I.M.H.O. I cannot see the point in turning any part of it, at any age into a 'canvas' to portray a flippancy, so insignificant compared to the 'canvas' itself. Also I cannot understand what satisfaction can be gained from having tattoos, Is it to impress others with lesser tattoos? Or do you just look at yourself in the mirror? (Other opinions are available!)

I really don't think there's any need for any other of your pompous opinions. It's your opinion and you're entitled to it but frankly I don't think is the place for what was purposefully inflammatory poppycock

It was certainly not meant to be inflammatory, and if anyone was offended by my post I wholeheartedly apologise. It's just my take on the whole tattooing thing, and the reasons for my opinion. Surely I am allowed to express an opinion on this? But I would still like to know the reason why folks have tattoos

My wife got into baking last year and as per her German heritage we always open one pressie on Xmas eve so I bought her personalised apron and backing utensils ‘baking with Birute with love’ she wanted to re personalise the rolling pin bludgeoning Mark with love. Can’t please some people.

Of course we are all entitled to an opinion, there are many reasons for having tattoos, vanity being one, taking control being another, its no different to improving body looks in other ways such as body building, tanning, etc etc, In my case I have a couple of old tattoos that I want to get rid of from my childhood and this was also the case with Carrie, she had a small tattoo from when she was 16 and has hated it for years, she wears a plaster over it, because she suffers from anxiety she has never had the courage to do something about it but now she has finally took a massive step, hope this helps with your curiosity,

Personally I wouldn't have a tattoo as I remember my old Dad's which as he got older weren't nice anymore. If you both like them I don't see a problem, absolutely no different from what we all do to our cars to make them our own?

I think different people have different reasons for being tattooed, some people feel it it a way to keep a loved one close, perhaps someone who has passed away, others use them as a way of charting their journey through this very precious and fragile life.
In the case of Carrie I think it's possibly an extension or portrayal of her wish to be individual and unique, and my sincere apologies to Carrie if I have that totally wrong.
I agree with you that they are not always for innocent reasons, gang tattoos for instance can be ugly and inappropriate and be done for darker reasons but that's a little of what goes into making us human.

Your original post did read maybe not solely and directly aimed at Carrie's post it certainly seemed to include her.

I'm sure anyone like myself, who found your comments derogatory and inflammatory will be delighted with your apology whilst still acknowledging you are entitled to your opinion, thank you so much.

I hope that clears the air
