Chris Evans stepping down from Top Gear

We never watch the new top gear :p
We just watch repeats of the original one ........:)
It still makes us laugh ;)
 
Didn't see that coming - much! Just amazed auntie waited so long before inviting him to depart on his terms. TG is a massive global revenue earner that helps keep our licence fee down. So, when it goes up next, you know to blame mr shouty.....I think had far too much say in keeping much of the old format because while he can talk (OK, shout!) he is not that creative visually. Just likes the sound of his own voice and believes the rest of us owe it to him to do the same. Should have let some bright young things dream up a completely new format and brand. That's what they need to do now! RIP TG
 
I've read a few newspaper articles today and it seems to me that may be he left before he was asked to go. Don't be surprised if he leaves the Beeb altogether.
 
Here's a funny thing after trying to watch the first episode of the the new Top Gear and getting 10 minutes in and turning over because I cant stand watching Chris Evans on the telly, I think he is a fantastic DJ but not a telly person, anyway I watched the final of the series and CE apart really enjoyed it, Matt Le Blanc is really quite funny and is the best person to host the show i think?? and the rest were OK. Maybe there's life after the terrible trio after all? Who knew. (Just need to drop Eddie Jordan too he's a Top Hat ;))
