The ad is a bit short on detail but could be worth looking at.

Dave is it to good to be true. Does it exist.
There no hoops. No sports seats. I've messaged the seller with no answer.
I'm not sure it would be the deal you think it is

I got my project z3 for £200-250 with 94000 miles on the clock.

I should have broken it. Instead I've spent £500 on a dip, 10 hours fitting a new clutch, flywheel and pressure platr and rebuilt the entire interior of the car. Did an engine flush followed by a good service.

Now waiting to replace the camshaft position sensor and fix an abs issue. Then I need to install a keyless entry as the key won't work in the drivers side door.

Only problem is that the car has no service history or documents so that's getting me slightly worried as to how much its resale value will be. :(

Point is, I have a basic understanding of cars and I still find myself getting annoyed from time to time at the countless number of problems the project zed has. For someone trying to get into the zed it may be worth spending a bit more and buying something with low miles and good service history. Just my honest opinion.

Surely even at that you'd draw your money back on the door mirrors, engine, gearbox, a few panels and consumables. I'm not saying you'd make a deal but I don't think you'd loose out. You never know it may even turn out to be an OK car and run for 3 years with no trouble.

It's the same work removing regular seats which nobody wants where as sports seats do sell like wise orange head lights plus no hoops.

I'm not saying buy it to break it Steve. I'm saying someone make take a punt and if the car is not good enough to run then break it and draw your money back. It's not all about squeezing the last £ out of everything.

Your right it's not about squeezing the last pound it's a fair price for the item if the car is to sold as parts those parts need to be in demand.
As a project car the price is may be to good.
Do you remember when Stacey purchased her M shortly after I noticed someone else was selling the same car so Stacey reported it.

It's a fair price but won't give the best return on the investment for a breaker compared with spending more on something with decent seats and roll hoops. Yes, mirrors good news - if they aren't seized, broken or held together with tape.

For me this would be one for someone on a limited budget but who could invest money in it over time.
