Care is needed, somebody on this forum recently bought a cheap Z3 and the diff mount was completely broken, not an easy repair.

But this one doesn't have that mentioned in the MOT so probably not an issue

such an easy fixable car, new front brakes and some steering components.

but this will get bought an broken for parts, i guarantee it

If I had the space I would buy it. But already got 3 at the moment and fixing these up. If its still for sale in a week, I might be able to get it

That will soon sell at that price. Hardest job might be the heater?

I have emailed the seller to buy this car but no word back as yet. Would be a nice project for the winter but I guess I am probably too slow off the mark.

Balls. I got a message from the seller at around half 5 today saying that the zed was still available. I called back an hour later and he said he sold it 5 minutes ago. :(

It's a good buy for whoever did manage to get hold of it.

Yes!!! I wasn't too slow off the mark after all. Sorry Faheem I am the lucky buyer. I missed the sellers call but rang back as soon as I saw the missed call message and spoke to the seller who came across as totally genuine and up front about the car, so given the mot fail was only for fairly minor bits and bobs and the low asking price I bought it without viewing. Never a good idea but in this case pretty much a no brainer and I pick it up tomorrow.
I have not heard of the heater matrix failing on a Z3 so I am hoping for a simple fix on the water leak on the heater, hoping but I will not be too upset if I have to take half the car apart to sort it.
I am feeling like a kid at Christmas and the other half is even more excited, we should never have sold her Topaz blue 2 litre but this will be a great replacement.

The seller was straight as a die and not really in a position to repair it himself and he had a quote for repairs from a dealer that made him decide to cut his losses. I can take my time to source whatever I need either 2nd hand or good quality aftermarket and my labour is free so fingers crossed it should not break the bank. Hopefully the sloppy steering is just track rod ends and not play in the rack and the brakes should be sorted with new discs, pads and recon calipers. As Tony pointed out the heater could be a pain but that's a chance worth taking. I expect I will be asking a few questions on here in due course.

Congrats mate, you've found a rare gem there I'm sure. The heater leak could even be a hose or clip loose maybe even an "O" ring leak. Good luck in repairing it. Another one saved

Tony.
