Chat room now has dedicated page

The chat room now has a dedicated page so more room for chatting. Your messages still appear on the front page and you can still chat from there for the moment but this page will give you more space http://zroadster.org/z-stuff/chatroom/

Is it possible to have some sort of viewing window in the forum, as you can not tell who is chatting unless you go to the main home page, or have some sort of pop up on the forum page when a chat has been posted so you can see it just a thought fellas.

I was looking at other chat options that we can integrate here but it's a bit tricky to get everything tied in with the front page and here without spending masses amount of time coding something specific. I will keep looking out for better options so I have added this to the "to do " list so i can try and find something that will do the job

Not sure if this will help or not, but it may be a workaround for now.

If you hold the 'Shift' key down when you click on the 'Chatroom' option on the menu, it will open in a new browser window. Likewise if you hold the 'Ctrl' key down it will open in a new Tab in the current browser window.

If you have the sound enabled in the chat window, it makes a bird sound when a new chat message is posted.

You can then switch between the windows/tabs as neccessary. :-@

Check the settings just below the right hand corner of the chat window. Make sure the word Sound is not crossed out!
