Changing CCV on 2.2

Hi,

Bit of advice please , obtain the various bits from eBay (all made by Meyle) but notice a vacuum hose joining onto the PRV. It's shown on real com as 3.5 X1.8 part 11727545323 in case it's becomes required is it just normal 3.5mm hose or a parts I need to obtain from the dealers

Would rather have it hand in case required

On mine that hose wasn't there, just a blanking cap on the valve. After much looking around and asking questions on here someone, can't remember who (sorry) told me it goes to the back end of the inlet manifold. Blanked off there, too, so went to the local motor factor bloke and he had some silicon hose to fit. Hasn't made any difference fitting the hose, still drinks oil. Ho hum. Hope I'm talking about the right hose, if you put that number into realoem it gives you loads of fitments.

I've read somewhere about a CCV bypass but can't remember where, what does it do.

Same part number in various locations ----- cut off a coil into required length,same number but different lengths ?

Your 2.2 L Z3 has an M54B22 engine. The small vacuum port half way up the PCV is capped on your car. As it is on all M54 engine cars

If you had a M52 or M52TU engine, you would have a rubber tube going from that port to the fuel pressure regulator on the fuel rail by the injectors.

Murray Wall -- absolutely correct , when the original was removed the branch was capped off , so transferred cap over to the new unit.

Interested not a lot of oil in any existing pipes ----- but two of the pipes were very cracked , in fact it was a wonder how one was still in place,unless all the bits around it was stopping it moving .
