Central locking issue

Guys, on the 2.8 prefacelift the central locking works with the key but not the fob, the light on the fob works so I am assuming its sending a signal, I know the previous owner had a battery issue as the car has a brand new battery, I seem to remember a thread regarding reprogramming the fob, any help please

If none if it is working Sean chances are the battery has upset it. Mine doesn't work either. Being a 2 door I got Tony to disconnect the lot and I just run it manually now and find it fine.

It all works on the key mate, the fact it has it makes me want it working, it would drive me to distraction if it didn't work

Yeah my fob lights up mate but it only used to lock the passenger door then when the battery died it stopped talking to the car so I just got it all disconnected.

Before you do that @Sean d Do you have the little yellow envelope with the manuals? As inside is a code that you input in sequence to the red flashing led that can bring it back into sync as well worked for me twice worth a go before taking out the glove box.

Not seen the yellow envelope but the car does have all the manuals so I'll take a closer look tomorrow

Yeah my fob lights up mate but it only used to lock the passenger door then when the battery died it stopped talking to the car so I just got it all disconnected.

Do you still have your fob (brick type) I only have one which I got from Littlefellar via Oldcarman as my car did not come with one . I have got it working except passenger which is very sluggish and when weather warms up will fit another door actuator and would be good to have another for my spare set of keys. Thanks Geoff
