CD changer for BMW Business RDS radio PH7850

Hi All,

Will CD changer 65128360284 work ok with radio BMW Business RDS 7850?

I have connector sticking out in the boot:

Does it require special bracket? I assume the bracket would be different for different models?

When you say bracket, I assume you mean the one that the CD player attches to? If so, then I am not aware of them being different from model to model. It simply bolts to the 3 threaded inserts in the boot.

CD players in some other countries (I know Japan was one) mounted in a differnt place in the boot - they are on the right hand side just behind the wheel arch, but I have not seen any variation in the UK. All mount at the rear of the boot on the left hand side.

Do you have the bracket with your CD changer?

I don't have the CD changer yet. I have seen some online but they were from other models, not Z3 so not sure if the mounting bracket would be the same.

There is "CD changer preparation" feature in the boot:

I think I will just have to ask for the bracket number as well when looking for the CD changer.

If you are still looking for a changer I have one for sale complete with bracket, fixings. I bought it for my own car from a forum member only to find that my Zed doesn’t have CD preparation wiring so I couldn’t use it. It’s all in excellent condition. Message me if interested.
