An unusual capture on my way home yesterday - Just by East Midlands Airport this DHL jet passed over right in front of me. It looked very much larger in real life - the dash cam has a field of vision of 170 degrees so it gives a very distorted wide angle of view.

I wonder what unusual or fortunate things others have captured.

The UPS, DHL, FedEx use big bombers.
One flys over my place here in Köln at 9-30 every evening. The fly considerably lower than the usual Ryanair jet as they seem to be much heavier laden and need more time to get higher.

This was on his way in rather than out. Part of the daily delivery routine.
They are quite low at this point. It's the location where British Midland flight 92 crashed on to the M1 in 1989. A lad working for me at the time saw the crash in his rear view mirror. That frequently comes to mind when I drive past here.

A great photo in the way you have captured the moment!

I wish I could claim some responsibility - It is just a single frame from the video. All I did was drive.

I remember that evening in1989, was coming by on the top road and saw the poor souls being brought up the embankment in body bags. The engine instruments were wired up incorrectly by Boeing weren't they leading to shutting down the good engine. Co pilot died two or three years ago.

Right place right time dash camera on! Looks great!

Yes Adrian, me too. It seemed a lot happened around that time too, Lockerbie, The Herald of Free Enterprise.

Tony.

Great image Ian, "right place, right time"
