Well - it took longer than I was hoping but lockdowns and Christmas don't help! She is finally back.
Both rear trailing arms replaced along with the refurbished drive shafts that came with them. The front track rods and ends were swopped for new ones, the mis-fire needed a new coil, the steering was re-aligned, and they also stripped off the rear wheel arch liners whilst it was on the lift, to clean out some muck that had got stuck in there - presumably from the field she ended up in!!!
She drives lovely now, and sounds great too!! I won't get too many miles in her until they stop gritting the roads. However, I will be taking her a couple of miles down the road in the next week or two to get the body work sorted. Last job before she's back to her former glory....!
Not all the parts that came off were for the scrap heap however....
One of the trailing arms (the passenger side) is perfectly fine. As are both the drive shafts. The other trailing arm is slightly bent but could be re-used if you know how to straighten these things...?!?? Bear in mind, these are the M Roadster trailing arms with the extra bracing - not the standard E30 type! The two original alloys... well, I don't know if they are repairable or not.
I will be putting all these parts on eBay this week, but if anyone wants anything in the mean time, please feel free to message me direct...!
