Surveying the carnage from suicidal animals during this mornings drive in the dark to Mt Cook, New Zealand.
Managed to miss all but one of the bunny plague. It switched direction back towards the car at the last moment and took out the lower grill.
One of the many Hares used the same trick to take out the fog light.
Thankfully the 3 Wallabies (yep, hoppers in N.Z thanks to the Ozzie Gold miners of the late 1800's) that got caught in the head lights did not know of the switch direction trick and they hopped safely off the road. They are the size of a Labrador and solidly built. Hitting one would probably kill the Z3 too.
On the way home, had a Weka (flightless bush chook) run out across the road and stop in the middle of my lane. Confirmed the operation of the ABS as I managed to drive around the bird. Looked back in the rear view mirror and the Weka was still there looking back at the car as if to say "Hey, how did you manage to miss me?"
Now have a bit of repair work to do this weekend before a three day mystery rally in Otago/Southland next weekend.

Glad you are ok and the Zed can be fixed
