Road tax due again , now at £325 for the year, it's gone up another £10 this year that's for the 2.2. What's the Ms tax ? I dread to think

I think my 2 2 is more expensive than my 3.2

My 2003 3.0i Z4 is,

£325.00
12 month cost

And worth every shekel.=))

Tony.

ps. That works out at £6.25 a week. Less than a quid a day.

pps. Unless it's a leap year.

For gods sake don’t spread that about the chancellor will put the road tax up again! ;)

Mines a 2002 car, with the 2.2 engine £325. I change the engine to a 2.8 and it stays the same. Changed it to a 3.0 and still the same.

Wonder how big I can make the engine before it starts really going up =))

Yes £325 for the 2001 2.2 (170bhp), but my 2015 Audi A3 turbo petrol (150bhp) is only £20, so swings and roundabouts

It's not the engine size,or indeed, power output that determines tax. My Mercedes E250 is more powerful than an E220, but is lower tax. My 2002 1.9 Z3 tax was the same or more than my 2.8 , which came as a surprise!

Yes it's the emissions band that the car falls into, I'm afraid that our Zeds are not that good at the low emissions game.

Tax is emission based after 2001.
Which means if you have a pre 2001 zed doesn't matter what engine you have tax the same so @Pingu Gary's M 3.2 is the same road tax as my humble m43 power zed.

Band k cars ( which your zed might be Mike ) tax changes for them were vehicles reg before 23rd march 2001
