Hi, just had my reminder for the tax on the zed, made me think
Has it gone up,? cannot for the life of me remember how much
I paid last year.Mine is a 2000 model 2.8 and the reminder is for
£235 pounds for twelve months.
How much is yours ? and how much is the difference dependant
On engine size? Just curious ?

£235 sounds like the current rate for a 2.8 Z3.

Mine last year was £295 2016 up from £245 in my first year of ownership 2015
on a 2.2 2002
So I'm guessing it'll be over £300 this year

I pay £235 for a 1.9, so you're getting a bargain=))

Any car pre 2001 will fall into the same band. So your 1.9 and 2.8 will be the same. The later 2.2 and 3.0 will pay a premium as the government had started to band cars dependant on emissions.
Some cars carry a huge premium on resale value because of tax bands.
I know @t-tony has mentioned his Touareg. If you go for an 2006 on wards it's £500 a year or £295 before. You can have a 2005 SLK55 with a £295 tax band..... erm now then! :rally:

Just pay what they ask, its worth it for all the sterling work and investment that go into our roads, not counting the cost of all those cones. =))=))=))
