Car-spotting in Athens Greece

licence plate still on, taxes paid… so it is considered as “parked” and nobody can move it.
They will have to wait until the end of year to remove this.
thinking of trolling everyone and pay 2024 taxes for it, so it stays another year in that spot… hahahah.

Don´t ask me why, but I got this today.
Total bargain, papers in order, one owner since new.
I was passing by, saw it and they said that since their father passed away, they needed the space.
They had absolutely no idea of the value, considering to pay for it to be towed away.
How much do these go these days?
I think I will put this at an online auction…

Looks like it indeed. Probably during the riots back in 1967-1973. That was the year it was parked. (1970)

Already have an offer for 5.300€ from Germany.
With a little wiggling he may climb to 5.500 easily I think. And that was by just sending an email!

Next on my list is this one. But seems that there are still lots of them around. I have to severely lowball the owner.

Today I stumbled onto another set of “old crap”.
Former Honda dealer passed away during covid period and wife is liquidating whatever he had kept at the back of the shop.

Told her I have no interest and advised her on a fair price for her and the potential buyer.

Fewer and fewer people nowadays know what these are and when our generation kicks the bucket, I think that there will not even be a market for them anymore.

There are people around paying ridiculous amoumts for older Hondas and the like these days. And if there's anyone reading this that used to have a 350LC back in the day, check out the price of a clean matching-numbers one of them. £10,000 and upwards.

:DNever noticed that feature on mine but the R1 that was a different kettle of fish, I had a great test weekend but alas I used my noggin for once and went to college to get the necessary to set me up and never really went back to bikes after that. I was going to get another but the usual concerns from the other half forced me into a ///M compromise.

Wow!
maybe we need a motorcycle thread in here.
Also had a 350LC and managed to save enough for an RGV but it was stolen three days after I bought it.
The 350 was an intoxicating motorcycle.
wish I still had it.
Best one I ever had was the GSXR 750.
looks pretty outdated today but still loving it.

Don't worry, you'll get back to car-spotting in Greece soon enough. Can't beat a bit of thread-jacking every now and again, though.
Actually the thread became more interesting with this little deviation.
so, here are some interesting motorcycle photos.
