So no actual value on this. It is just a chopped coupe... ok. Thanks for the info!

Well...
Today I was approached by a bloke who knows I always consider buying whatever interests me and we had a long chat about his Z3.
101.000 km M54 3.0 cc with an ESS twin screw TS2+ that pushes 395ps
Has an intercooler and oil cooler from a 335i, the flywheel comes from a Μ5 Ε34, all suspensio is H&R for the Ζ3M, brakes from the E46 M3 CSL, full SuperSprint exhaust, CSL wheels and many more like Z3M interior etc.
The car literally spins around itself in third gear.
Immaculate condition blue with burgundy(ish) /black seats, a hardtop and a full JBL sound system.
Very tempted but also very affaid...
The price is right, but this car really scares the sh*** out of me.
On the other hand, this could be a huge profit as parts and then still be a very good 3.0 to be sold as stock...
puzzled with this one...

(p.s I covered the plate in the last photo he is against having his car on the internet)

what would you do?

Buy it and take off all the scary bits to get it back to stock. My only fear would be that all the extra power has done damage.

Maybe I have to check with a boroscope and probably inspect whatever I can... still so much power, yes, could have ripped apart many things inside that engine...

my competitor for this one raised the bar to 16k so I am out. For some people it makes sense. Me, I am another story...

400bhp (and presumably 500-600nm ish) is an awful lot for an M54 to cope with IMO, unless it has been completely rebuilt internally with forged everything.
And people who do that stuff to cars, generally don't drive them like Miss Daisy IME.

Probably best to walk on.....
