Not sure if this is allowed on here but oh well.
A very close friend of mine is doing something incredible for an amazing few charities and thought id share it with you all.
This is his little story;
"Hey folks as your some of my closest buddies I thought I would make you aware that I plan on walking 955 miles from John o groats to Lands End commencing 1st Apr 17. I'm doing this primarily in aid of McMillan cancer trust due to my Nan sadly passing from cancer in July and the RNRM charity. This walk will be completed for the most part solo but encompassing it will be the 3 tallest peaks, so I'm hoping for some friends to come walk these with me to keep my spirits high! Also along the way if any of you want to offer a bed or hot food/washing I'm not going to turn it down as I'm going to stink and be sick of military rations! any questions fire away!"
A recent update;
"so not sure who is aware but its been a busy couple of weeks organising things! I wasn't really getting the support or attention that I wanted for the charities so I decided to take it up a level.
I'm now dressing up as a Jedi Knight for the walk. This has received some major attention, from Lucasfilm Costuming groups and a couple of their designers in the uk along with several small companies now wanting to sponsor me. I have also kindly been made a ridiculously expensive personal lightsaber by one of the designers behind the latest movies!!! its worth about 500 pound but she wants to give it me free because I'm insane allegedly...
all in all this is now gaining major traction and I'm currently setting up a blog on WordPress to keep everyone updated. as for the costume, its being hand made in Singapore and will be ready in a couple of weeks!

This guys dedication is immense, so if any of you can spare anything to help motivate him for each of those 955 miles then i would appreciate it tremendously and he most certainly would. Even little messages i can pass on to him will be extra motivation.
Also, i may organise with him to meet up one day on a weekend and take a drive over the lakes in the z3 to give him some little prezzies, ill ask if anyone wants to join when ive decided on this.
