It is and you now number 20 just in case you were thinking of changing your mind  Hereford is approx 34 mins away from the start point in Ross.
That's brilliant, it's nice that I am close to something at long last. Bar the Oxfordshire based car club my friends run, I've always had to travel for 90+ mins for most car meets I've gone to since 2007, when I got involved with the e30zone and then ended with the P1 owners club until 2016 when I had to stop driving due to my spinal damage.

Because I am totally new to the area, is there any members around the Hereford area (I am moving to a village called Kingsthrone) that would be willing to meet up and help teach me some good "safe" roads that are fun to drive? When I went with my folks to give them the OK on the house from Oxford, I noticed a crap ton of speed cameras and constantly changing speed limits, which are no doubt perfect for mobile speed camera vans to hide and catch out motorists (all in the name of road safety of course ).

If my Poppa can't make it, is it ok for me to bring my Lab puppy with me? I get him early next month, so by then he'll be much bigger, but I will have him trained well enough to take out to meets with me in the Zed. If anyone is uncomfortable around dogs, I will leave him at home with mum (which I am sure she will love). I want to eventually get him comfortable going to car meets and events with me, where he will get to make loads of new "Hooman" friends and have him well socialised with new people.

Cheers,

Dan

Bring who you like just need to be aware the pub we will have lunch at is not a dog friendly pub.
As for meeting up for some introduction to good roads I'm only 45 mins away and the Welsh guys are all fairly local the Brecon Beacons are a short drive from Hereford as is the Wye Valley and Forest of Dean. Malverns are also on your doorstep.

The area is the Nirvana of driving roads

OK folks the list is full so I will start a reserve list if anyone else wants to be added, I'm sure between now and November some will need to drop out due to other commitments etc. So feel free to ask to be added to the reserve.

Thanks for the info @Nodzed , I'll leave Bertie with his granny to get spoilt like every dog deserves!

I'm really looking forward to not only learning some great driving roads, but being in a better location for a much more active car scene.

Off the top of my head, isn't the "Evo Triangle" around that area? If you're not sure what I mean, it's a set of roads that Evo magazine classed as one of the best driving routes in the UK. They did a great video on YouTube about it a few years ago and it's worth finding online. Some other motoring YouTubers, such as "Seen Through Glass" have gone to the area and done their own videos based on Evo's own video.

Now I have gotten so much work done replacing large amounts of my Z4MR's suspension, I really want to enjoy some great roads and not be paranoid about pushing the car.

While there are some great driving roads near me around Oxford, one thing I've not been exposed too, is large amount of "bikers". I am lead to understand that some of the roads in the region are massively popular with sports bike users? After watching some documentaries about traffic cops, I am keen to try and avoid the risk of hitting a bike while out hooning.

These are basically the areas I am referring to, some of the best driving roads in the country.

Also check out Devils Bridge and Elan Valley, also worth driving, I think.

Going by the map, it seems that Hereford is pretty much in the middle of these 3 routes you outlined.

I'm glad that I was wrong about the sports bike users, as they must be certifiable to push their bikes on those roads!

It's looking like we are on to move next week, so I was wondering if anyone would be free next weekend and go out for a spirited driving session?
