i have some 17 inch wheels which I use as winter tyres on my f10 5 series and I wondered if I could use them on a 1996 z3? How do I find out if they are compatible?

Yes, they're the same stud pattern. The spigot (hole in the middle), may be larger, but you can get conversion rings off ebay which fit in to reduce the spigot diameter.
Not sure of the offset, but my son has run 5 series alloys of e36 several times.

Why yes you can, what you got in mind?

I think the fronts will probably be a bit too wide an offset but if you can post a pic or even better the wheels specs on the back of the rims. We can work out if they'll fit.
