Just below the arrow for 6 is. I was considering an induction air filter but I am unsure what this connection is

Possibly an air temp sensor Paul but I'm not 100% sure.

How does that work with an induction filter?
I would be tempted to try with it still connected but removed from the housing, then secure it away from the heat of engine and radiator. IF that is what I think it may be.
