After Dom's post yesterday giving us a heads up, we went for a nosy today.

We spotted @Domenico T Diiorio on our way there, he was leaving unfortunately.
Only saw two other zeds there, which was the Z4 we parked next to and @Topperz lovely black Z3. Saw him in the cafe and had a chat, great to see him again.

There was a lot of modified motors, some tasteful, others not so, like the multi coloured V.W above.....whatever takes your fancy though.

Kept getting a strong smell of weed as we walked round looking at the cars, the mind boggles how people smoke that stuff and still drive.

As we left about lunch time, the sun was gracing us so it seemed a shame to just drive the few miles home.....so we didn't and went an afternoon tootle in the vale of Belvoir, which took us on some lovely roads we hadn't been on and found another decent tea room .

Polo was a factory build called the Harlequin. My uncle had a old Ford Consul similar colours 40 years previous. Never thought of him as a style icon!

Yes I remember the polo harliquin well. Bloody awful it was!

Not sure if it had air ride suspension as the rear wheel rims were practically touching the arches when parked up.
It reminded me of a Lego car with the multi coloured panels, certainly catches your eye.

My late brother, Martin's first car was a MK.1 Cortina GT. in Monaco red. Reg. 8910 VT. Dad paid £50 for it.

Tony.

Blimey Steve, what's got into you, out again;). Some good cars there, my Dad had an Cortina like that:thumbsup:

:scorecard: Some lovely photos, the weather looks lovely too , hope you enjoyed your day :p

Have had a hankering for a Lotus Europa since seeing a JPS in black at the 1974 Motor Show. Had a sit in one last year, heck of a job getting out! :(

Loving the Mk1 GT looks like its in Alan Mann racing colours too, very nice

Don't get one with the Renault 16 engine.

Tony.

@Topperz can I ask what exhaust you have on yours? Looks like something I’m after.
