also buy a £2K Z3 as a tinkering toy/weekender.. best of both...
the only mistake you made was to buy a Z4, for some reason they don't get under your skin the same way. 'Nice cars', but that doesnt make them different enough to other nice cars...:whistle:

I don't think anyone should buy a Z3,Z4 or MX5 or any other 'soft top sportscar/roadster' if they want real performance. A more modern hardtop is always going to be better. To me ,Z3 s and the like are all about nostalgia, looks and the feel of top down motoring. Horses for courses!

Once he gave me a drink of another sort that he said he made up himself. I don't know if he was BSing me or not but it was really good and had a lemon flavor to it. I think that he probably made his own concoction from some liquors he had bought but whatever it was, it was REALLY good. Frankie

@Dino D i have a great big V8 looking for a Zed to jump into! It's a Chevy 462 cu in and depending on what type of fuel supply system you put on it will easily get you a min of 500+hp. I have a hilborn FI system to go with it or a tunnel ran with twin 650 thunderbolt carbs, or a single plane manifold with one 650 carb, or twin 350 Superchargers and manifolds if you're interested! We'll talk $$$. Maybe @t-tony an bring it back after his next trip to Fl. In the spring!! lol. JIM

Hmmmm... Correct(ish) however the Z3 does handle a lot better than people give it credit for!
 
Good luck with the search Jim.the audi sounds a nice piece of kit.
Did think a few times this past year of ditching the zed.hence the trip to spain in the 3 vert i bought.but the verts gone and replaced with a 3 series 4 door saloon 3.0 d.
And now the zed is deffo here to stay. prob see me out ha ha.

Get it remapped Maurice will take it to just under 300bhp and loads more torque real flying machine best £400 I have ever spent puts a smile on my face every time I put my foot down wish they did a Zed diesel so many more tuning options will be sad to see you go Jim cheers Tony.
