I use the key to lock and unlock my doors on my Z3...

Locking or unlocking the doors via the door lock will neither lock or unlock the book (trunk for our American friends).
Locking or unlocking the boot via the boot lock will also lock or unlock the doors at the same time...

Is this correct behaviour?

Thank you in advance for your help...

I think that is correct operation.

The boot should open when unlocking the doors, could be a couple of things, a faulty actuator or the dreaded loom of doom! (Boot loom, the wires are know to break over the years)

Okay... It does make more sense for them all to lock and unlock together... Thank you.

But if unlocking the boot unlocks the doors too Brian , I can't see it being the loom of doom. I will consult my owners manuel tomorrow.:)

Yep agree tony, my monies on an actuator, just mentioned the loom of doom as it has been know to cause issues in the past. Also like typing loom of doom :)

Your quote: "Also like typing loom of doom."
Sounds like one of the best invites to hijack a thread that I've heard in a while............
Who else likes to type or turn a phrase???????????? (THAT'S got'em thinking!!!)

Could be the loom of doom from the door wiring to trunk actuator isn't working but the wiring going the other way may be?
