Everyone has, and are entitled to their own view, and all opinions are equally correct, but my preference is for the 2.2. I have owned 1.9 and 2.8, but for me the 2.2 has the best overall balance. It handles really well, and has plenty of power. I did find the 1.9 underwhelming and the 2.8 less nimble.

However the most important factor is that it should be red.

Now theres surprise considering they are the same weight' IMO forget the smallere engine Z3s as they are pants, get a big engine and have a s*** load of fun with all that torque, forget all the talk about nimble and balance and just got for all out grunt, it puts a massive smile on your face =))

I did wonder if there was any difference in weight between the 2.2 and 2.8 with this balance Malachi and thought they must be the same.
