When I say busy…. Naturally I dont include myself in that statement….
But I did hold on to a spanner for a few minutes to stop a nut moving…. So basically I was ballast !!!
A big gathering there this morning with various things going on.
Simons’ Z3M up on the lift , wheels off for an inspection….
nice colour scheme ( bit biased though!!)
An engine was being stripped down… Which will be ending up as a glass topped coffee table.
There seem to be lots of people watching this ( me included) while Hollie did a lot of the work.
And I understand that the two camshafts will be turned into table lamps.
Hopefully, pictures of the finished items will be posted.
And over on the bench there was lots of muscle power in action stripping a Z4 rear arm , ready for powder coating.
All bushes and main bearing had to be removed…. So lots of heat and heavy duty extrators.
.
.
Bit of heat on one of the bushes..
And it didn’t stand a chance
So one arm stripped out!!!
so only the other side to do now
Not that I saw this one done , as I had to go.
But while standing about did notice a gear knob on the bench and asked Lee if it was for sale. It was so it came home with me.
and looks so much better than the silver one

Other than the breakfast baguette, I did have another reason to go today. I had to collect the last five sets of tank straps that were being held at Zedshed HQ. These are already sold to forum members.
So thats it now for tank straps.
I have one set left, that I will probably be keeping for my Silver Zed . ( currently fitted with a pristine set of BMW ones)
So thanks to everyone on the forum who bought them, all those people who helped and gave me advice during the development stages, and for all the really nice comments I received in respect of the design and quality of the final product.
