Broadband speed

A little better, BT have been contacted and have new hub on the way.
New service to start running around 23/08.

We'll see.

It is Virgin Media provided through their cable tv network.
There is no other domestic broadband service like it in the UK. It does slow down at peak times but generally it knocks ADSL broadband out of the park!

I swapped from Virgin, it became throttled so much that it was taking 30 seconds to load my ebay watch page, and that was supposedly 50mb.
I changed to BT and the page was instant.
Also what I didnt like about Virgin was its 'free speed upgrade' ....... always followed 2 months later by a price increase.hmmmm

Last time I looked while downloading an album from Amazon I was getting around 100kbs. Anyone getting any amount of mbs has no room for complaining.

Just done speed test here at home,

Dont forget ping tests are not accurate, and usually show lower, they are at best an indication..... at least thats what my provider always tells me

Up to 60 now on BT and 11 upload. Not going to complain with that speed.

They're not accurate I have just done 3 different test with 3 different apps, all different and by some margin.
