Hope there's no damage Dave. Weelie bins are always a problem during this type of weather and as they're partially on wheels they fly about at some speed.Had a wheelie bin hit my zed earlier, can't see any damage but I'll find out for sure when I clean it. Hopefully be none but won't be impressed if there is![]()
Obviously the bins have to be put out, but many take no account of the conditions when it's windy. Bins get left in the same exposed places. Missiles in waiting.....Hope there's no damage Dave. Wow, it takes a lot to tip those over. The X1double decker bus that travels the A47, tipped over this morning just outside Wisbech. Also have seen that at least 4 lorries have tipped over. Our village has been covered in paper as everyone's recycling bins fell over. It seems to have calmed down a lot now.
This was an empty bin, most likely left close to the car as they leave them anywhere, they clearly don't care for anyone else property in the community. Don't know what it is with bin men in this area but I've had one swipe a mirror off one of my old cars, bins left in the middle of roads and when you meet them in their wagon in the street they expect you to sit there and wait all day for them empty everyone's bin on the estate before you can get past the wagon parked in the middle of the road.
Wouldn't do it in the Zed but it's not unknown for me to nudge bins out of the way in the LandySame here mate, some times when I get home, if Shirl hasn't been able to move it I get home and the lazy bin men have dumped the bin right in the middle of our drive and I can't get clear of the road, I've had several near misses as I can't get right off the road. In Florida they have trucks which pick the bin up and tip the contents into the truck (one man operation), but you have to place the bin at the kerb edge, the right way round for this to happen, it's not rocket science but you'd be amazed how many people can't get it right.
