Talking about 'old bangers', I'm in the process of renewing insurance. Yes,that annual nightmare! The value most companies put on our cars is a joke. £1115 was one figure I was given, whereas looking on Auto tr.. or Fleabay, any similar car to mine is £ 4250 - £6950. Of course they are asking prices, but the valuations insurance companies quote are clearly for 'bangers'. No sensible middle ground!
Needless to say I will go for a policy with an agreed value. It may cost a bit more, but not as much as the difference between ordinary policy values and mine.
 
You should make a thread afterwards about how you sorted your agreed value then found an insurer. I'm going down that route next year

Crikey Mr T's got it on him today.........selling @Low Rider's zed for parts and now he's after commandeering my new exhaust..........that I haven't got yet :nailbiting: =)).
