Ok maybe you're in Scotland but I don't think that Google will be able to pinpoint your location.

It certainly will. As long as it's a location which Google maps can geo-locate correctly, then it will be fine. For example "mars", as used by our Martian friend would most likely try and put a pin the the Mars chocolate factory ;)
Added a post code to me info,

Sorry to hear that Mozza. Hope you are feeling better now :)

Hope you're better soon mate.

Sorry to hear that Moz. A mate of mine went down with the same the week before Christmas and he has still got it. The problem is, he is self employed and had to keep working, so he looks like the walking dead now......:nurse:

Well it is a small village, but on planet earth, and Google does recognise it.

We have always put the village and the County, @road voyager!, as there is more than one Sutton, it may help them locate you too!:)

Sorry to hear you've got the dreaded lurgy too, Mozza, we had it 3 days after the Xmas Party, courtesy of Badman gee! Luckily went by Xmas Eve, hope you're better soon, just got to let it run it's course, I'm afraid!!!

I've found a better member map. Just PayPal'd the author some Euros for a copy, not sure how long it will take for him to respond.

This one works slightly differently in that it uses the Location field to automatically populate the map. Means that members don't have to specifically add themselves. If the field is left blank, they aren't added to the map. Means everyone would need to make sure people have something meaningful in their location field.

I'll update you when I've had a chance to play with it!
Oh Dad!! You may unleash BMG with that last comment!! Jr.

Have you been ingesting human type fluid drink again? JIM
Ha ha, wish I had, just bin on a diet of homemade lemon juice with honey, and 2000mg of antibiotics for the past 7 days and just got some more off doc.
I've got 2 bottles of brandy waiting for me but tbh cant face it at the mo,
Need to get my act together an sort myself out .lol
Cheers for the well wishes.
An a great new year to you all

What have you done gaz. I have been eradicated

Thanks Gazza, well done, it'a really great! Didn't realise how near several other members are to us!

You'll have to get Badman to anchor himself to a location though, as he is not on the map!! also you need to remind people every so often to change their location when they move as Z3cade & Mrs Z3cade are not at that location anymore!

It's down to the individual members to decide if they wish to show up or not. I can however of course bump the map thread every now and then to remind people. It's quite likely that a few have incorrect locations showing at the moment as well. I'll keep nagging ;)

I am glad it let me put my village in as i dont want to be associated with the 2x s*** towns nearby :wacky:

Good work Gaz; the new map looks the business. Was excited to see 3 members in Newcastle, but checked and they have been inactive for a long time. Also good to see a newbie from Sunderland. From other comments it seems a few of us may be finding Z-owners nearer than we expected.

checked and they have been inactive
Yes, that's the same on the old map too. I may look at pruning the location details from the database after a period of inactivity.
