Is that a lifetime of driving ?? At today's price that's over 40 years. At the end of the day it's like non compulsory insurance.... You don't pay you take your chance... My peace of mind is worth 19 pence a day

Years ago my wife and two kids were in the car on
their own on a country lane in the dark, car stopped working,
and i didnt have breakdown cover
Early days of the Mobiles, and flat batteries
A lesson lean't.
The AA went and recovered them home, that was before days of
joining at the roadside

£148 with BMW (albeit Mondial)
Covers me abroad as well.
Beauty is if you breakdown then a nice BMW 5 series touring turns up with a BMW 'expert' and a car load of BMW parts.
Worth paying for particularly as my car is getting on in years.

£38 year last year on some sort of new customer deal, dropped to £28 this year for only having one callout. With the RAC and thats personal cover as long as im over 1/2 mile from home.

Our AA renewal this year for 2 of us with personal cover for Roadside, Relay and "Complimentary" Home Start was £156. I checked the website and 2 members for Roadside and Relay was around £113 so phoned and said that I thought "Complimentary" meant free? They reduced the renewal to £113 - lots of posts on MSE about getting the AA to reduce their renewal prices.

I'm with HSBC as well but the deal there is to keep one savings account with them (only 0.25% less than the account it was in), no minimum monthly payments into our current account and no monthly fee. We got a choice of either the breakdown cover or travel cover. We took the travel cover as when my wife retires we've got some big trips planned.

Well I was 56 yesterday so not quite 40 years but getting there... ;)

I guess i'm lucky. I never take out additional warranty on electrical items, never had redundancy protection on loans......

Modern day Billy the Kid me............like to live on the edge :D

Like a few others, have cover via my bank account, covers me and the wife in any car.
The few times I've used it over the years, it has always been the AA that has come out, but can be others.
When you take into account I also get world wide travel insurance, key-care, identity protection and other benefits, it's well worth the monthly fee.
