Brake noise

My brakes sometimes make a noise. It only happens when there is medium sustained pressure. When it does it I can make it stop my applying more pressure or releasing some.
It’s annoying and garage say the pads and discs are fine.
I am considering just swapping out the front discs and pads anyway to rule it out.

How much can I expect to pay for this ?

Try a bit of copperease on the back of the pads a on where the pads slot in.make sure you don't get on the front of the pads

What sort of noise is it, can it be felt through the steering?

And are you sure it's from the front? Can be deceptive.

Are you able to do this yourself? Are you still "off the road" yourself, driving wise that is?

I can’t feel anything through the steering and I’m pretty sure it’s the front.

Tony- yes still offthe road and I don’t have the tools or skills to do it myself
