Ouch!!!! Blimey prices are ridiculous for fasteners :-(
Some things are crazy, I need some of the small round covers at the front of the dash by the windscreen that cover the bolts and they are almost 7 quid each. Almost 9 quid for a small plastic surround that goes around the hazard switch on the ///M console, then it's less than a fiver for a 5mm rear spring pad.

Some are. But many are a very reasonable price and some are cheaper than 3rd party. Usually best to start with BMW for small parts. Well any parts to be honest as even some of the bigger stuff is reasonably priced.

I am by no means a genuine/BMW fan boy. But I do like best value for money and that frequently sits with BMW.

I think they managed to go in and secure the vents in place but they didn't sit correctly. @ktnez99 will be able to let you know more if they were the same.
@g8jka and @TraceyP Yep, they're not a great fit, in fact, they're rubbish so save your money. I had help from the very kind @Mazza with the ones I ended up replacing the duff Amazon ones with. I hope this helps. After all, in the words of that supermarket chain: every little helps.

Never seen those before and I have tried to find some. If they do the job they are a bargain. I've just ordered some. Thanks.

I'm looking to either prove they are useable or are not up to the job. For £3.80 I don't mind which way it goes if I can report back and help others out. I have a good supply of originals so haven't bought them to use.
