Brain Teasers

Start both timers
When the 7 min rings put the eggs on
When the 11 min rings thats 4 min cooking time immediately reset the 11 min timer And when it rings cooking time is 15 mins :computer:

Same rules

A chef in a 5* hotel prides himself on being able to cook guests food, perfectly however they request.

One particular weekend, an awkward guest requires his eggs to be cooked exactly 15 minutes, and will return them if not.

The chef on hearing this, says no problem - but on looking around the kitchen finds he only has a 7 minute timer and an 11 minute timer.

The guest sends his complements to the chef on his perfect breakfast, so how's it achieved ?
Used his wristwatch?

i guess (11-7=4)+11=15 so if you start them together there will be four minutes left to the 11 one when the 7 runs out of time.
start boiling the eggs, wait until four minutes pass and start again for another 11 minute run.
correct?

Interesting you both thought the same process, eggs n timer supposed to be started at the same time ;) task completed in 15 mins, not 22, timers are sand btw

Re think, or post your own teaser - choice is yours

New teaser :)
I was visiting my local BMW showroom to discuss a purchase. There are three Z3's in the showroom that I'm interested in. The salesman sets me a puzzle to determine the price of the Z3's and tells me the product of the prices (in k pounds) is 2450 and that the sum of the prices (in k pounds) is equal to the asking price of the one F90 M5 he has for sale. I check the M5 price and tell him I'm sorry but I can't work out the prices of the Z3's
He then tells me the cheapest Z3's paintwork is not Orinoco. Given this new information I say thanks, I now know the prices of the Z3's

How much were they each?

For example, one incorrect solution is £10k, £35k, and £7k and the F90 M5 is £52k (10x35x7=2450, 10+35+7=52)

Its late and Ive had three beers.
will check this in the morning.

Bloody hell,. I think I went to the same school as @bombur ;). @Zephyr , he's all over this one...;)

Here are the possible prices....you should be able to determine the price of the M5 and hence the prices of the Z3's

350, 7, 1 sum=358
175, 7, 2 sum=184
70, 7, 5 sum=82
50, 7, 7 sum=64
35, 10, 7 sum=52
25, 14, 7 sum=46
245, 10, 1 sum=256
49, 10, 5 sum=64
175, 14, 1 sum=190
35, 14, 5 sum=54
98, 25, 1 sum=124
49, 25, 2 sum=76
70, 35, 1 sum=106
35, 35, 2 sum=72
50, 49, 1 sum=100
98, 5, 5 sum=108
245, 5, 2 sum=252
490, 5, 1 sum=496
1225, 2, 1 sum=1228
2450, 1, 1 sum=2452

I do not know if this is correct or not, nor can I tell.
but it looks bloody scientific so I count this as correct.
