Bournemouth Beach.

The traffic on the M3 and A31 heading to the coast has been crazy. Most are heading from the London direction and think they will get a spot at the beach. Glad to say that the more these brain dead follow like lemmings, the more space is left for me on the South Downs to enjoy lovely drives out and grab a coffee in certain not so well known places.

The second wave will be blamed on the Gov too. Even though the majority of people I know are distancing themselves into small bubbles and not going outside of that.

The government is being ambiguous rather than prescriptive of what they want. They expect people to use common sense, but, for many, that just means they can do what the hell they want and sod the rest of the world. On top of that, there are no sanctions on people behaving unsafely or inappropriately. It's a recipe for a second wave, or at least, significant surges in infection rates and significant more unnecessary deaths. They haven't learned anything from the delays of the first instance of lockdown.

All hugely disappointing after the all the effort of everyone and particularly the NHS and care workers who have borne the brunt of the disastrous circumstances we found ourselves in.

Sadly, many MPs think they are in a beauty or popularity contest, not running the country in the best interests of everyone. Some straight talking leadership is badly needed by all of them. Done with some thought and sanctions where necessary, we could get through this while having a nearer normal existence.

I am just looking forward to the day ( as I am in Wales likly to be many years away under our marxist control freak) when we can just drive up to a remote location in the hills, dog has a walk and swim we can enjoy our flask and food. My only contact with others will be when I need fuel , Tesco and delivery vans delivery the rest.

As for those thugs rioting in London bring on the water cannon and tear gas, perhaps some rubber bullets.

Oh why do they have to be rubber? Lead is far more effective!:whistle:

While the number of confirmed cases is still dropping, the number of deaths this week (Monday to Sunday) is likely to rise or at best be similar compared to the previous week. Awaiting todays figures (available tomorrow, Monday), but we're already at 903 compared to 911 the previous week.

Likely to be a statistical blip (which is no comfort whatsoever to those in the number or their family and friends).
Cases is likely to be around 19% down. Deaths around 915-918.

On top of local spikes around us in North Warwickshire and even greater consternation at cases in Leicester, should we be getting a little concerned at one set of stats?
