Sat in all morning watching the Sun climb higher in the sky. Even knowing the local council had been out salting and gritting I was yearning for a drive out in the coupe. Bored to tears I decided the only relief I was going to get was to get the Kharcha out and getting some newly formed green algae cleaned off the patio or take the coupe out, after hrs of deliberation I decided the coupe would benefit most.( not me )
So knowing my mate up the road would be thinking the same thing about taking his porka out I rang him to get his opinion. Couple of hrs later we were back at his place for a cuppa. Brilliant run out with both taking turns to lead. Think there’s some respect building for the little coupe as he admitted that he had to give it some welly to catch up at times, funny we never take pics when we’re out but here’s one taken in 2017 after a run out together with my old Z3.
He’s driven the coupe and was surprised how quick it was and says he's seen how flat it stays when cornering. He’s always there when I’m fixing the coupe lending a hand and offering the loan of any tools I’m short of. Complete techno wizard so is keen to stay when I get the Delphi scanner out trying to teach me how to get more info from it, I’m still finding it difficult to cope with all the knowledge he’s trying to implant in this old old brain that’s still in the Webber twin choke age. Great friend and old school petrol head who was my passenger at Tony’s last September meet. Don’t think he’ll come in the coupe again though.lol
RHA,Roy.
Ps: He thoroughly enjoyed the meet and thinks we’ve got a good thing going in .org plus the Sheds.
No I can’t persuade him to get a Z, I tried to talk him round when he was looking for his Porka.
(shame on me
)
